1 Hello, {PlayerName}.
2 Do you mind dropping by the Strand when you have time?
3 Umm... Brant and Bardolino are away, and they put me in charge of the welcoming proceedings.
4 I'm feeling a bit nervous about it. Part of me just wants to crawl into my box... Pero is all stressed out because of me.
5 Pero, pero...
6 I tend to fumble with words when talking to people... I'm worried I won't do a good job accommodating everyone.
7 If the Laureate herself were here, I wouldn't be so nervous. It would make things easier.
8 So, {PlayerName}, as our new Laureate, we need your help.

1 Beyond high walls we fly
2 Through mist where dangers lie
3 But with courage, we shall find
4 Hope that frees the captive mind
5 Il Matto?
6 Il Diavolo?
7 Truth and lies swirl in the haze
8 The Laureate seeks what hides in the maze
9 The devil rules from heights afar
10 Where strings give way to springs of war
11 Illusions rise beneath the sea
12 The fool becomes the enemy
13 But bubbles burst, with gun in hand
14 To lend a light and make a stand
15 The Laureate's blade clears the snare
16 A thousand stars light up the air
17 Freedom blooms like flowers wide
18 As hope, the North Star, is our guide

1 We already searched the ship from top to bottom. There wasn't anything that looked like a star.
2 But I still want to find it.
3 I want everyone to have the chance to perform Pegasus again...
4 And the props we use should be items that they've all used before, things they're familiar with.
5 The frequencies, or feelings, attached to the items can affect the people using them.
6 They all see the star as a symbol of hope. This positive vibe will get magnified by the opera and spread to more people.
7 So yeah, I'm still going to try and find it. There's always a chance, right?
8 A "chance" is just another way of saying "hope."

1 Didn't know you were this smooth with identifying frequencies. I'm impressed...
2 Pero, pero!

1 The mist is good at messing with your head. Anyone can get lost in it.
2 But hey, at least failures help you find the right path eventually.

1 I'm picking up all kinds of weird scents... the mist, Tacet Discords, some kind of star, wet soil, old book pages, broken dolls, dusty junk, hot cocoa, and oranges...
2 Always with the Tacet Discords. "A sea covered in veil, lay beasts of howling wail." Of course...
3 Well, gotta go all out when you're putting on a show, I guess.

1 Hmm... Let's try another path.

1 In Pegasus, the deeper you go, the deadlier the monsters get.
2 Surprise, surprise, the Tacet Discords here are extra feisty...
3 Watch your step, {PlayerName}.

1 Pero, pero!
2 Roarrrr...
3 Uhh... Stay sharp, Pero!
4 I'm here with you. Don't worry.
5 Okay.
6 Err... These frequencies are made up of deception and lies. They smell awful.
7 Pero, pero!
8 Pero senses the "star" inside the cave and... something else she can't describe.
9 We're approaching the end of this path. It seems like the center of the maze is just ahead.
10 Soon we'll find out what lies at the core.
11 But... it may also be...
11 No risk, no reward.
11 It will be our victory!
12 You're right. We should keep going.

1 Time to take the gloves off.
2 Here we go, Pero.

1 Hmm... Let's try another path.

1 Cough...the mist is really thick here.
2 It's all right. Let's try the other side.

1 Hmm... Let's explore another path. This one isn't working out.

1 Hmm... Let's explore another path. This one isn't working out.

1 Pero, pero!
2 Pero says there's a powerful Tacet Discord nearby.
3 Please be careful, {PlayerName}.

1 Time to shine.

1 Thank you for coming, {PlayerName}.
2 Everyone's a bit shaken... We weren't at our best...
2 Why is everyone so nervous? (Jump:3)
2 What just happened here? (Jump:4)
3 Not nervous, afraid.
3 (Jump:5)
4 Everyone got scared.
4 (Jump:5)
5 Most of us in the troupe have had bad run-ins with Tacet Discords. They just can't shake the fear, no matter how many times we face them. Not everyone's like you.
6 Pero and I weren't sure if we could keep everyone safe. But watching you in action, it hit me...
7 Action beats worrying any day. It's like tightrope walking. Just keep moving forward and never look down. That's the trick to staying steady.
8 Everyone's safe now, thanks to you. We should get these pilgrims back to the troupe before more Tacet Discords show up.
8 Pilgrims?
8 Are people still being banished?
9 Mm-hmm, all these people are pilgrims. They've had a tough time drifting here on the Pilgrim's Sail.
10 Fenrico may be a phony hiding behind a mask, but I'm sure he wouldn't go back on his word as Primus.
11 Since you're the new Laureate, I doubt we'll see any more banishments.
12 This Pilgrim's Sail probably left Ragunna before Fenrico gave his word.
13 I do hope this is the last of its kind.

1 Umm, these guys seem in bad shape...

1 Some people aren't here anymore, but their stuff's still around. If they brought it all the way on the Pilgrim's Sail, it must have mattered a lot.
2 Things tend to hold onto memories.
3 I'll make sure to keep those memories safe.

1 Pero, pero!
2 It's faint... but there's still hope. Pero, come help her up.
3 Don't worry, Pero is very gentle.
4 The group returns to the Troupe with Pero carrying the dying girl.

1 Roccia and Pero help the little girl rest in a medical tent and perform emergency treatment on her. Once her condition stabilizes, Roccia takes you to Tina to let her know you’ve returned safe and sound. Meanwhile, Pero stays behind in the tent to keep an eye on the girl.
2 What took you so long? Come on, grab a big bowl of pasta while it's still steamin'.
3 Give it to {PlayerName}, I'll eat later.
4 Roccia remarks as she hurries back to the tent.
5 Here. Dig in.
5 (Accept the food.) (Jump:6)
5 It can wait. I'll go see if Roccia needs anything. (Jump:9)
6 You accept the bowl of pasta from Tina. The homecooked flavors seem especially comforting in the moment. Maybe it's because of all the energy you burned earlier, or maybe food just tastes better when enjoyed with company.
7 You put down the plate and go inside the tent to help.
8 I'll come with you. I'm sure they'd appreciate the extra hand.
8 (End)
9 I'll come with you. I'm sure they'd appreciate the extra hand.

1 What?! She's still alive?
2 Wait, I didn't mean it like that! Back when we checked the ship's cabins, we thought she was already...
3 Ugh, I can't believe myself right now!
4 It's all right. We can still save her.
5 We should disinfect her wounds before removing the splinters... No rush, nice and steady.
6 Tina and Roccia manage to treat the little girl's wounds. Her breathing gradually steadies.
7 Phew... that was close.
8 She's past the worst part. She'll recover soon.
9 How about the others, Tina?
10 All fed and steadily recovering.
11 Even though they're just kinda staring at the ground.
12 Well, they've been drifting at sea for so many days, and now they've washed up somewhere completely new.
13 They're like a sponge that's been soaked in water. All heavy and waterlogged. It'll take a while for them to bounce back.
14 What do you think we should do...?
14 Why don't we try talking to them?
15 Yes. We should see if anyone needs anything.

1 Everyone has been through so much...
2 All those rules on how to live, forced exile, friends gone missing...
3 Pero, pero...
4 Is there anything we can do to cheer them up?
4 Pain relievers. (Jump:5)
4 Pasta. (Jump:6)
4 An opera. (Jump:7)
5 Well, pain relievers are a start. We've already handed those out. That'll help with the physical pain part.
5 (Jump:8)
6 True, food is always an essential. But bellies are full, and spirits are still in the gutter.
6 (Jump:8)
7 Oh, what would I do without the Laureate around?
7 (Jump:8)
8 Medicine for the body, sure. But for the soul? We need something grand.
9 Everyone we talked to kept mentioning the Pegasus opera. Maybe we could arrange a little performance with them and their companions...
10 It's decided then. The welcoming opera will be Pegasus.
10 A welcoming opera? (Jump:11)
10 But most of their companions are already... (Jump:13)
11 Well, traditionally the troupe always puts on a show for newly rescued pilgrims.
12 It's our way of saying, "Congrats, you survived!" We hope it sets the tone for something better for them.
12 (Jump:14)
13 Hmm, I know a way.
13 (Jump:14)
14 Pero and I searched through the ship and found what must be their companions' belongings.
15 Some are a bit damaged, but nothing I can't fix. I'll patch them up and we'll use them in the performance.
16 That way, they can be together again… on stage.

1 All right. Now that all the items are in place, the stage is pretty much set up.
2 Thank you, {PlayerName}. I'm sure the sentiments tied to these items will make their grand entrance into everyone's hearts.
3 Hmm... But I feel like we're still missing something.
4 Maybe the stage isn't bright enough? The North Star in Pegasus is the symbol of hope after all, so it should be brighter.
5 I remember Filippo said that everyone used to gather under "star" and sing, but I didn't find any stars on the ship.
5 Why don't we go ask him?
6 Yes. Maybe he can tell us more about it.

1 I lost Mom's special treasure...
2 The light from the star kept the darkness away. It looked after everyone when we were at sea...
3 We liked to sing around it, just like Mommy did in her plays.
4 She always said the star represents hope. It would keep me safe, and protect those around me.
5 N-now I've lost it and it can't protect anyone anymore...
6 A frown begins to form on Roccia's face. She wants to comfort Luca but struggles to come up with the right words.
7 Pero, pero... Pero, pero!
8 Pero says you should rest up and we'll go find the star for you.
9 B-But it's too dangerous out there... You already saved me... And Mom said I shouldn't cause so much trouble for others.
10 Don't worry, Luca, it's no trouble at all. You also have something important to do—rest and recover.
11 And just like you said, the star watches over everyone. We're doing it for everybody.
12 Okay... I'll be good and rest.
13 Pero can sense the frequencies of the "star" left on Luca.
14 Now that Pero is on the right scent, we can start our search.

1 Thank you, {PlayerName}, for that wonderful performance.
2 It took everybody to make it happen. And that includes you, of course.
3 Since we first met, Pero and I noticed something special about your frequency. So special that even Pero couldn't figure it out.
4 Ever since you came to Rinascita, the misty maze has been... unraveling.
5 Maybe, just maybe... You can be the one to change things, no—Change the fate of the entire Solaris.
6 Wherever you go, things start changing. Strange, wonderful things. You're like a magnet for the unpredictable.
7 I know the saying, with great power comes great responsibility. Danger will be hot on your heels wherever you go.
8 So, umm... why don't you join the Troupe of Fools?
8 I'd love to. (Jump:9)
8 Sorry, but maybe next time. (Jump:10)
9 You pulled off the perfect welcoming opera and marked a new voyage. We've been on the same side for awhile now.
9 (Jump:11)
10 That's all right... You can join us whenever you want. It's up to you.
10 (Jump:11)
11 If you ever find yourself in a pickle, just come find us.
12 The troupe will always have your back.
12 Thank you.
13 We all started out banished to this deserted island. Bit by bit, we scrounged up what we could and built our home. That's how the troupe was formed.
14 We may not be rich or perfect, but at least we can sing and laugh whenever we feel like it.
15 And thanks to you, we've got the chance to bring that laughter and freedom back to Ragunna.
16 Just like how your performance as Laureate with the Star of Hope cheered up our entire troupe.
17 You're the one who helped rekindle the hope in our hearts.

1 The mist...
1 The kind you played hide-and-seek in?
1 Again?
2 Yes. The island is covered in mist most of the year.
3 But I just cleared that area not too long ago. And with the latest weather, there shouldn't be any more mist.
4 Battier's out fishing, like always, and our trusty "mist detector" Lario hasn't made a peep.
4 Something's not right...
4 Maybe this mist is different from the one before?
5 You're right.
6 Something about this feels uniquely suspicious.
7 Hmm, the air is so humid. It's like the mist is standing right next to us, waving hello.
8 "A sea covered in veil, lay beasts of howling wail—"
9 According to Pegasus, we should be careful when there's mist close by.
10 We need to find the star before it rolls in...

1 It's like the mist has been waiting for us.
2 This isn't the usual hide-and-seek mist.

1 This misty maze is giving me déjà vu.
2 Hmm... A strange and suspicious smell.
3 It's familiar... but also different. Like a poorly done copy.
4 In Pegasus, the maze is woven from lies and malevolence. Inside, it's as chaotic and unpredictable as a misty sea.
5 There's every kind of monster in there. At the heart of it all lurks an Archdemon, who's a master of all things evil. It steals, distorts reality, spreads confusion, and plays puppet master.
6 I wonder if a fellow opera fan borrowed this scene from it?
6 To play the Archdemon? (Jump:7)
6 To play the hero? (Jump:8)
6 To gain something from it? (Jump:9)
7 Umm, what kind of person would want to be the Archdemon?
7 (Jump:10)
8 Well, I do get why people want to be heroes. They're the stars of the show. But all this convoluted nonsense? Not exactly heroic.
8 (Jump:10)
9 A reasonable assumption.
9 (Jump:10)
10 Whether they're playing an Archdemon or a hero, after putting so much work into this whole setup, I'm sure they're expecting something in return.
11 In an opera, you can get... hope and personal growth.
12 Or the power to deceive and manipulate.
12 Only one way to find out.
13 You're right. Let's go inside and see for ourselves what the mastermind behind this mess is really after.

1 You bring the star into Luca's tent. Luca immediately gets up from her bed as she sees the familiar glow, her face brimming with happiness.
2 The star... The star's back!
3 Oh, thank you, miss! Now the star is here, I'll definitely get better!
4 I'm actually feeling much better already!
4 Do you mind if we borrow the star?
5 Go ahead. It's for the opera, right? I heard so much bustle outside while I was in bed. I figured they were preparing for a show.
6 The girl with the purple hair said she wanted to use something really shiny as the North Star in Pegasus. Well, nothing beats this star!
7 Now we can all sing together around the star again. It will be wonderful, just like it was back on the ship!

1 Tina, your singing is as beautiful as ever. Thank you for lending us your voice for this revised version of Pegasus.
2 Ahh thanks. I had to belt it out if I wanted to do Luca's shining North Star justice!
3 She can't make it up the stage, so I'll just have to bring the star to her.
4 Lottie Lost, here's your master's lunachord. It's missing its strings, but it can still help people.
5 Squeak... Squeak squeak...
6 Diggy Duggy, this is your master's wreath. I got it patched up for you. Be sure to keep it somewhere safe.
7 Coo coo!
8 The prop gun your master left behind, Cuddle Wuddle. It can blow bubbles now. Please take good care of it.
9 Hoo hoo!
10 One by one, Roccia takes down the stage props and returns them to the audience. Items in hand, the audience departs feeling content. Only a single Luceanite is left on the stage.
